The laundry service was a godsend, and you can book tours to National Parks and river safaris right there. The staff are brilliant, friendly, and helpful, and nothing feels like a problem. Rooms are spotless and comfortable, and breakfast is always a great start to the day. Chami Villa is a special place to stay in Bentota, close to both the beach and town, with plenty of different restaurants nearby.

I felt at home at Chami Villa Bentota, especially when they let me use the kitchen to make the Indian food I was craving. That flexibility added something special to my stay. From the moment I arrived, the caretaker was warm and exceptionally hospitable, going out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. They were helpful and supportive throughout, and showed genuine kindness toward me as an Indian guest.

We had a great stay! The rooms were clean and spacious, breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly. It was close to the beach, but the train didn't disturb us. On checkout day they let us shower after the beach, which helped us a lot. The extra bed wasn't great at first, so we asked for more planks under the mattress. Instead, I got my own room for two nights, and by the third night they'd fixed the bed. For a longer stay, it would be nice to have some variety at breakfast. Thanks for a nice stay!

The breakfast was perfect, served by the very sweet Rathu&Shanika. Rathu has his own tuk-tuk and will take you wherever you want to go. The house is lovely, the beds are perfect, the shower has plenty of water, and the Wi-Fi is good. Chami, the owner, is an honest and charming man who wants the best for you. He even took my wife and me to see the golden buddha and gold house for free, what a gentleman. I've been to Sri Lanka several times, and this was the most pleasant trip in every way. Bentota is a nice city with everything you need, and the beach is beautiful. The waves aren't too high, but you can still surf. We want to come back as soon as possible ❤️

We loved the accommodation and service, but I have to warn people about the river safari they offer. The animals and mangrove forest looked amazing, but they took us to an ayurvedic center where we were scammed. It was very disappointing to feel that people who trusted them with their stay could be brought somewhere like that. It says a lot about the kind of people they are. They probably get a fee for bringing clients to that horrible place.
