I had no personal space or privacy, and the whole situation left me completely creeped out. I was out for 30 minutes and the host entered my locked room. That was such an invasion of privacy, and he probably can’t even imagine what that feels like for a woman traveling alone. He kept appearing wherever I went and followed me even to the restaurant. I wanted to say goodbye to some friends who were leaving for the airport, but even then he wouldn’t leave us alone for a minute to say our goodbyes in peace. I definitely won’t come back.

We had an amazing stay. The room was big and super clean, and the AC worked perfectly. He chilled our beer and even offered us some. The hosts were really sweet and friendly, and breakfast was amazing. Definitely recommend staying here.

It’s clean, comfortable, quiet, and not too crowded, with inexpensive rates and easy access to the railway and bus stations. I stayed here for the second time and will stay again on my next visit to Sri-lanka. It works very well for a first stop near Colombo or a stay before departure.

For the Rs 2000 I paid, it was an okay place. But the owner seems concerned only with foreigners, doesn’t like locals, and is pretty rude to them.

There were bed bugs, the place wasn’t clean, and the Owner tried to steal my valuables. Stay away!
