Little Paradise

For a one-night booking, the price was very reasonable, and I found the place secure and relaxing. The name “Little Paradise” seems fitting. Some repairs are needed, though. A few of the windows were a little broken, and tiles in the swimming pool can cut you.

I paid a deposit to book, but when I arrived the place looked nothing like the advertised photo. We decided not to stay. The owner got angry and refused to return the ten thousand rupee deposit. The rooms looked dark and smelled bad, and the pool wasn't clean. I wouldn't recommend staying here. There are much better and cheaper places close by.

The room was the worst I've stayed in in Sri Lanka. It smelled of tobacco, the old fan was very noisy, and there was no mosquito net. The swimming pool wasn't clean either. I can't recommend this place.

Mr. Niroshan was helpful and nice, and the beach is nearby. Behind the property, which I wouldn't call a hotel, you can walk to the beach and the watersports centre outside the restaurant. The drawbacks were hard to ignore. The bathroom lock was broken, and the doors and windows didn't lock. There's AC, but with those gaps it was useless. The area feels very lonely, so you'll need a vehicle or should avoid going out after 7 pm. Tuk Tuks won't drop you in this beachside area at night. It isn't hotel standard and isn't suitable for families, though people who want to party may enjoy the lack of restrictions. The mosquito net needs replacing, and some door locks and the cupboard wire need repair. I won't list more or upload photos. I heard the woman entrepreneur is talented and patient in caring for guests, so I appreciate her and hope she fixes these issues.
