Go off-season if you can, so you can enjoy all the activities without the crowds. There’s surfing, pool games, table tennis, and plenty more to do. The staff were so hospitable and made sure we were comfortable. A special shout-out to Palms restaurant’s head chef, Dalip Singh, who went above and beyond at every meal. Since we were Jains, he made dishes especially for us and always ensured there were tasty vegetarian options. We left satisfied after a wonderful experience. Would recommend Taj to everyone.

The peaceful atmosphere and beautiful beachside setting made it easy to unwind, with lovely ocean views and sunsets. Our spacious room was clean and comfortable, and there was an impressive range of tasty local and international food. The staff were friendly, attentive, and ready to help. At Palms restaurant, chefs Mohan and Janidu were especially hospitable and treated us to complimentary food, which made our stay more memorable. A few areas could use some updating, but that didn’t spoil the experience. I’d recommend Taj Bentota Resort & Spa for a relaxing trip, whether you’re alone, with family, or as a couple.

The staff were so attentive that they went out of their way to handle every request. Chef Dalip even greeted me like family and made sure I had a great meal. When I hesitated over ordering the chicken because I was hoping for fish, he heard me and quickly prepared what turned out to be the best fish I’ve ever eaten. It looked and tasted amazing, and even my vegetarian wife tried it and loved it. I’ve travelled a fair bit, but never met a chef so focused on getting everything right and creating something special. Another staff member made my wife a herbal remedy right away when she had a slight sore throat, and it worked. The location is amazing too. Well done, Taj, your staff take hospitality to another level.

The hotel has a beautiful, relaxing atmosphere, and the hospitality made the whole visit feel special. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with a smile. We also loved the food: great variety and quality, with every meal being a highlight. We had an amazing stay at Taj Bentota and would highly recommend it. One of our best hotel experiences.

The people made this stay especially memorable. Every team member was warm, courteous, and cooperative, and room service was prompt and professional. We enjoyed excellent breakfasts and dinners, with plenty of variety and consistently delicious food. Our room was spacious, well maintained, and thoughtfully designed, with a breathtaking ocean view and sunsets visible right from the room. The hotel is beautifully placed beside a private beach, making for a peaceful and exclusive stay. The property and views are stunning. Everything felt perfect, and we’d gladly return to Taj Bentota and recommend it to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
