The wall paintings gave the restaurant a lovely artistic feel, and everything I saw looked clean and well kept. I stopped in for lunch at Aurora Banquet and Hotel while visiting Chilaw. I only used the restaurant, though the property also has rooms and a swimming pool. My mixed rice was tasty and filling, with a generous serving. The staff were polite, helpful, and really friendly. 😊

I left very disappointed. I went a week ago hoping for decent service and a pleasant atmosphere, but the staff were rude and disrespectful. The service was extremely poor, and the way I was treated spoiled the evening. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a respectful, enjoyable meal.

The seafood rice was delicious, and the serving was huge. What they call a regular portion could feed two, and there was enough for at least three of us. I went for lunch and found a beautiful place, with murals adding to its look. There are several banquet halls and a swimming pool, plus parking. Recommended.

I've had good visits to Aurora before, but today was a real letdown. We got changed for a swim and picked out food to order for a swim and dine visit, then found out there were no helpers and were told to leave. Don't come here on a public holiday.

The food was phenomenal, and the prices were very reasonable. I held my 50th birthday celebration at Aurora, and the management suggested using the banquet hall because rain might spoil the day. They made the right call. The hall was clean and elegant, without fancy lights or unpleasant smells. Highly recommended. ♥️♥️
