We paid far too much for what we got, and I probably wouldn’t stay again. The biggest problem overnight was the train noise and lights, which cost me about half my sleep. Someone also dragged a table around at night, disturbing things even more. The hotel needs better upkeep and more facilities if it wants guests to be happy. We booked two family rooms on the second floor. The air conditioning was already on when we arrived, and both rooms had attached bathrooms, though neither had toilet paper. Staff brought our bags up, which was helpful, and cleaned both rooms while we were out. They fixed one phone after we reported it, and replaced a faulty TV. The six floor building has a lift and is wheelchair accessible. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working, and the replacement routers they gave us were terrible. One room’s kettle socket was in such bad shape that we couldn’t make tea that day. At least they supplied tea bags and sugar. The rooms had phones for reception, but one didn’t work, so we had to use the other.

I was there with my dad for electrician work, and they treated us really well. I’ve had people in other places treat electricians poorly, so I appreciated the good attitude and hospitality here. Wishing them success.

We had breakfast at the restaurant on the fourth floor, where they also serve food. The rooms are good and have sea views. It’s a brand new hotel, and the service was excellent.

A nice place to stay, with good rooms and bathrooms. The staff were attentive, and the water stayed hot in the shower. The air conditioning was strong enough for Colombo’s weather. Breakfast choices were limited.
