Lavonca Boutique Hotel

We were there for NYE, and the hotel served a delicious spread of Sri Lankan treats on New Year's morning. The rooftop pool looked inviting and had a nice view, though we didn't get to use it. Our room was spacious, with a really comfortable bed and a nice balcony. It's a great little hotel within walking distance of Gangaramaya Temple and Colombo National Museum. There are good local food options close by, and it's easy to catch a bus to other parts of the city, including the fort and Red Mosque. Cargills, a grocery store for snacks and water, is also a short walk away.

We liked being able to swim in the rooftop pool, with views, even later at night. The rooms and location were nice, and the food and staff were great.

For our family's last night in Sri Lanka, this was a great choice. We had two rooms for the four of us, both clean and comfortable. We especially enjoyed a night swim in the pool, and breakfast was well done.

We stayed on 26th August 2025. The location is convenient and the rooms were clean, but the rooftop pool needed a proper clean, so we couldn't use it. They don't serve soft drinks on the premises, so bring your own if you like them. Please double or triple check your belongings before leaving the room. I left my fossil watch in the bathroom, but they refused to search for it and seemed to protect the staff. There's nothing wrong with protecting staff, but I'm 200% sure I left it there. I wish they'd been more polite in handling the issue. If anyone found it, please contact me. Thank you.
