After a long day and hours on the road, I arrived at Memory Lane and was welcomed by Aski and Malshan. They showed me the common area, which surprised me with how spacious and spotless it was. My room was carefully maintained too, down to little details like the handrail beside the water closet, which helped with my muscle pain after walking on Adam's Peak. The people are what make me want to come back to Colombo and stay here again. I still remember the deep conversations I had at night with Pasindu, another friendly staff member. It feels more like a real home than just a hotel. Honestly, I'd give the place 6 out of 5 if I could. It's a gem in Colombo, and I don't understand why some travellers don't give it a full score.

The building was fine, and the room was okay. For exploring Colombo, though, the location isn't ideal since most main areas and attractions are quite far away.

I keep choosing this place whenever I'm in Colombo. It's clean, and every room has an attached bathroom, fans, and AC. There's a shared sitting and dining area with tea, coffee, a microwave, and a fridge, plus a common kitchen if you want to cook. The excellent staff are always around and ready to help. The location is great too, with lots of food outlets, restaurants, supermarkets, and a mall within easy reach. Highly recommended.

I've rated this place many times. For USD 34-38 a night, I don't think you'll find a better equipped aparthotel anywhere in Colombo.
