Metro Port City Hotel

The location is good, but there wasn’t much to like about the room. It wasn’t properly cleaned or prepared, and I had to ask for basics like a towel and blanket. The bathroom smelled, and the linen smelled too. The headboard was very dirty. The WiFi and TV didn’t work, and there were no amenities in the room. A place to avoid.

The hotel staff were fantastic and went above and beyond when we had a problem. They let us leave our luggage there a bit longer while we went out before heading to the airport. The rooms were relatively tidy, and the stay was pleasant. It’s also well located for visiting the markets. I’d highly recommend it. You get what you pay for!

The walls, bathroom, and mismatched bedsheets weren’t clean, and walking into the room hit me with a moldy smell that made it hard to breathe. The photos on Agoda and booking.com are misleading, so don’t trust them. I asked to change rooms, but the staff said it would cost extra, even though the online pictures were false advertising. I’d give zero stars if I could. Avoid!

The location was good, with lots of markets and temples nearby, and they happily gave me a sixth-floor room with a good view of the port. The staff were courteous. The room was big, but the AC wasn’t very effective. There was a slight smell from the washroom, the shower flow was slow, and the water wasn’t very hot. All in all, a so-so experience.
