Villa Alexia

We especially enjoyed the breakfasts Nisshan made, which were delicious and generous. He helped us get charcoal and set up the BBQ, so we could grill fresh fish we’d bought at the market that morning. Trying the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was a memorable treat. Atthula looked after the house, arranged excursions that suited our interests, and made sure we were safe and happy on the trips. Gayan was wonderfully hospitable too. Villa Alexia in Talpe has a beautiful garden and a fantastic pool, with peacocks and monkeys around the grounds. The kitchen is well equipped, and the washing machine was handy. The beach is a short walk away, where we saw sea turtles and enjoyed a swing on a palm tree. A tranquil, luxurious getaway that we’d highly recommend.

The pond in the middle of the house gives the villa a calm feel, though families with babies or toddlers should keep a close eye on them since neither it nor the pool is fenced off. The pool was clean and relaxing, and the house was a great place to unwind with friends. Our three-night rate was competitive after we found the listing on Facebook and contacted Gayan, the owner, who was very helpful. The villa is easy to find and accessible to the main hangouts in the area. It took us two hours from Jaella. We were welcomed by the venue manager, owner, and chef, shown around, and helped with our bags. The rooms had cinnamon diffusers and mild air conditioning already set. The chef offered breakfast each morning. The rooms were large, with views of the paddy fields and pool from two of them, and of the central pond from the others. Ensuites were spacious and bright, with hot water and good fittings. There were hair dryers, fans, air conditioning, laundry, private mini bars, desks, wardrobes, and very fast fiber Wi-Fi, over 50 Mbps. Beaches are a five-minute walk away, the area has lots of tourist activities, and world-class restaurants are a short tuk-tuk ride away. Ideal for couples or groups of friends looking to relax by the pool or visit the beaches. We’ll come back for more rest and relaxation.

The pool was our favorite spot, especially with monkeys jumping among the palm trees and peacocks around. The villa is beautiful and private, with a good-sized bedroom and a king bed. The shower and toilet area was large and nicely designed. The staff were friendly and professional. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks for everything!

A simple villa, not a five-star hotel, but a nice, quiet place to stay. The beach is a 10-15 minute walk away. The rooms are new, and staff are available whenever you need help.
