Gold Crown Residence

After climbing Pidurangala, we changed our plan and decided to skip Sigiriya. Rather than taking us straight back, the tuk-tuk driver, who is part of the hotel staff, spent about two hours showing us around Dambulla. We hadn't expected that and really appreciated it. We stayed two nights and the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The residence is clean and well located, with comfortable rooms. They offer a big breakfast and different tours at reasonable prices.

I regret not staying longer. This hotel has an awesome vibe, with a convenient location and amazing hosts who were friendly and helpful. The welcome drink was fantastic. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the AC is quiet. The nearby pool is cosy and refreshing, and breakfast was generous, tasty and full of fresh fruit. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Dambulla or nearby places like Sigiriya.

The breakfast was perfect, and the rooms were large, air-conditioned and very clean, with really comfortable mattresses. A super friendly, attentive group of staff looked after us. We'll remember this hotel and its staff fondly. Thank you very much.

The staff and our stay at Gold Grown Residence were the highlight of our full 40 days traveling through Sri Lanka. They were extremely kind, responsive and helpful, and I really enjoyed chatting with them whenever we crossed paths. The hotel is private, beautifully decorated and maintained, and the rooms are spacious and well furnished. They even surprised my recent Fiance and me with a private rooftop sunset dinner. The view was sensational. If you're staying in Dambulla, stay here!
