The restaurant meals were generous and fairly priced, and the service was great. It’s also an easy walk to Dambulla, with a pool on site. Breakfast was a letdown, though. We paid 3000 per person separately for stale toast, some fruit, juice, and rice, which felt excessive.

We stayed here with friends and liked the rooms and clean pools. It’s well placed for visiting Sigiriya, and Dambulla is nearby too. The highlight for us was the Indian food Chef Manoj prepared. A great pick if you want Indian food while visiting the area!

The food was superb, and we really appreciated the hotel’s hospitality. We were travelling with infants, and the staff took good care of our children. Very excellent hotel, highly recommend.

We were a group of 23, and there was always plenty of excellent food at breakfast and at the two dinners we had. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. The Golden Ray is about an 800m walk from the main road in Dambulla, which gives it a lovely, quiet setting.

The rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the food was tasty. Hotel Golden Ray, Dambulla was clean and peaceful, and close to the main attractions. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Dambulla.
