We found it clean, with a large bed and hot water, and the owners let us enjoy a quiet stay without trying to sell extra services. It’s very close to the caves and great value for the money. The downsides were the nearby highway, which was noisy in the morning, and very slow Wi-Fi.

This was definitely my worst experience in Sri Lanka. The place was very dirty and smelled terrible, and the owner wasn’t friendly. We looked at the room for five minutes, couldn’t stay even one night, and were still charged 500 lkr. Don’t come here.

They canceled my booking without telling me and ignored my calls. When I tried from a different number, they picked up and told me many lies. They were very rude. They do this when you get a promotion price.

The Golden Temple and Dambulla Cave Temple are very close by. We stayed for two nights on our journey through Sri Lanka and enjoyed great food here for dinner on both evenings. The owner and his family were pleasant and helpful. They offer extras like Tuk Tuk rides to Dambulla city centre or other destinations, but aren’t intrusive about it. We can recommend a stay.

We booked a room on booking.com, but then they said there was no room because we are Sri Lankan. They were unfriendly and impolite. Do not recommend staying here.
