The hosts were exceptionally friendly, and we liked the quiet spot away from the main road. The room was basic and small but comfortable, with a fan, private bathroom, and, finally, hooks. Everything was spotless, the price was fair, and breakfast was excellent. The father speaks basic English, while his son, who is around after 6 pm, speaks it very well. We stopped again in Dambulla on our way back from Polonnaruwa because of the weather, and were glad to stay here again.

The family were very helpful and arranged transport to Siriyiga and to Anuradhapura via Ritigala. Their young son speaks English well. It’s a lovely family-run guesthouse in a quiet spot off the main road, with a basic but adequate room and delicious home-cooked curry. Highly recommend.

They even dropped us at the bus station, and we ordered dinner there too. The breakfasts were tasty 😋, the room was good, and the family were so nice. Their son speaks the best English in Lanka! Thank you! :)
