Vista Nice Place

It was lovely to get away from modern life here and connect with nature. The villa sits in the jungle, with tropical flowers all around and a river and tropical forest visible from the window. The house feels cozy, with everything made of wood. There’s a beautiful pool, the food is excellent and was among the best we had on our travels around Asia. Hotel staff were friendly and attentive.

I didn’t know what room the travel agency had booked for us, and it turned out to be the tree house. It was absolutely lovely, with beautiful sounds from nature in the evening. But I’m absolutely petrified of heights, and after dinner I couldn’t make myself go back to the room. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep there that night. The hotel staff were amazing about it and moved us to another room at the last minute. Thank you for putting me at ease and making the stay very pleasant.

It’s very peaceful and quiet here, with trees all around. We loved the breakfast and dinner buffet every time, and the pool was amazing and well maintained. Kaveesha Rathnayake in the restaurant area went above and beyond to give amazing service each time.

The treehouse rooms need attention. Paint is peeling off the shower tray, the shower door is rusted open, there are holes in the walls, and the balcony flooring is almost completely worn away. Our room wasn’t serviced, though staff fixed that when we mentioned it. The gardens are lush and well tended, and the pool was clean. Staff were helpful when we had to leave early and opened breakfast for us. Still, loud music marred all three nights. On the first, a party in the restaurant meant we had to eat in the bar. The next night progressive house music left us nowhere to sit and enjoy the evening, and on the third, another loud party started by the pool just after 10pm. With graffiti all over the walls, the atmosphere felt more like a hostel than a hotel.
