We paid $25, and it definitely wasn’t worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend staying at White Fortress Hotel in Colombo. Our room was dirty, smelled strongly unpleasant, and was in such poor condition that the stay felt unbearable. Hygiene was unacceptable, and we found three cockroaches. When we raised it, the staff member seemed uninterested in fixing the problem and called the owner to report our complaint. Instead of addressing the hygiene issues or offering a refund, the owner said we could “call the police if we want” and that they weren’t afraid. We asked for a refund because the room was uninhabitable, but they refused. This falls far short of acceptable hospitality and what guests expect from accommodation.

Ashan was especially kind and helpful with the room service. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and kept in good condition, and the whole place felt peaceful. The staff were welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again when visiting jayawardenapure colombo.

For over Rs. 8000, I expected better value. There was no balcony as expected, the room had mosquitoes, and the bed sheets weren't proper. The stay left me disappointed and didn't feel worth the price.
