The area is quiet, and you can walk about five minutes to everything. The owner was the best part of our stay: exceptionally neat, friendly, and kind, and she offered us all sorts of help without being asked. We had an 8-day flight and hotel package, spent our first night in Colombo here, then took a 6 days trip around the Island. She called around to find the cheapest driver for the trip and even returned some money for the 6 days we were away. That was so kind.

We stayed two nights and arrived around midnight, but she greeted us warmly with sandwiches and juice. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was clean. Just remember it’s on the 3rd floor, so you have to walk up. It’s a real homestay, and if you don’t expect a hotel, you’ll find it a very good place to stay.

Shaya was an amazing host and helped us with everything we needed. She cooked great meals, including a barbq with prawns and crabs. She felt like a Sri-lankan mom, ready to welcome you at any hour of the night and make food even at 4 am. Even if you only need a few hours between a plane and a train, she’ll take care of you so well. Best hospitality I’ve experienced.
