The restaurant was a highlight, and the portions are big, so check how many people an order serves before ordering. We had a comfortable stay at the Lavinia Bay Beach Hotel, with comfortable beds and pillows, decent WiFi, and room facilities that felt right for the price. The staff were friendly and dedicated, and made things run smoothly. Special shout-out to Ansana at reception and the restaurant team. The sea-facing rooms have a nice view. Trains sometimes pass on the tracks, but the noise wasn't bothersome. The vacant lot beside the hotel is an eyesore, though it's easy to look past it and enjoy the view.

The food was good, and the atmosphere made for a relaxing short getaway. The service was welcoming, and it felt like good value for a budget beach stay. The surrounding area and beach view could be better, though, and some facilities seem to need more maintenance.

The lane to the hotel is narrow and poorly lit, though the 24/7 security was reassuring. I made a last-minute booking and was pleasantly surprised by how accommodating the owner and staff were. Everyone I met was friendly and keen to help. My room was spacious and clean, with excellent AC and Wi-Fi. I didn't get to try the rooftop pool or restaurant, but both looked lovely. Thanks for the warm hospitality!

Breakfast could use more variety, and service at breakfast and in the restaurant was a bit slow, with some waiting. Still, we had a pleasant stay and would consider coming back. The room was comfortable and well kept, the beach was very close, and the friendly, smiling staff made the experience more enjoyable.

The food was awesome and the pool was very clean. Staff were really friendly, and the washrooms were clean too. The room and washroom smelled a bit, but you get used to it, and a bit of perfume helped. You can see the beach from the hotel, though the buildings around it sometimes spoil the vibe.
