Leisure Villa

The relaxed, plant-filled decor, hammocks, swings, and interesting furnishings give Leisure Villa a homely feel. Nilu was a great host and made us comfortable throughout. We liked it enough to return, and it’ll be our pick for a cheap, cheerful one- or two-night stop in Colombo. The rooms have air conditioning and ceiling fans, plus hot and cold water and a fully equipped kitchen guests can use. The bed seemed a bit unimpressive at first, but turned out to be very comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Cabs can have a little trouble finding the place, though they can get there, and the city is about a 30-60 minute bus ride away. I’d recommend it if you want to spend very little and still feel comfortable.

We left feeling grateful for the care we received in Colombo. As expectant parents, we especially valued how safe and cherished our hosts made us feel. They were attentive and genuinely kind at every turn. The cozy, peaceful setting was just what we needed, and the hospitality made our stay at Leisure Stay truly heartwarming. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

We only booked one night, and ended up wishing we could stay longer. The place feels peaceful, and the manager is available around the clock. The owner is friendly and clearly cares about guests, while the rooms are clean and tidy. Outside, there’s a lovely view and the quiet setting would suit a romantic getaway. The room had AC, a cozy bed with soft sheets and comfortable pillows, and a large smart TV. Hot water, Wi-Fi, tea, coffee, sugar, and towels were provided. There’s secure parking on the premises and some high-tech touches. A fantastic Villa for a calm stay.

The owners greeted us with smiles even though we arrived in the early hours, and breakfast the next morning was generous and delicious. We only stayed one night and wished we’d had more time. This guesthouse is a restful retreat away from busy Colombo city centre, with lovely art and plants everywhere. The owners were so warm and kind. Highly recommended.
