The Villa In Lavinia

We booked the villa for a day for a cousins’ stay and paid an advance of LKR 9,000. Before booking, we clearly told the hotel we wanted pool access, drinks and a small party. When we arrived the next day, they suddenly said there was no pool access, no drinks, no party activities, and no woofers or speakers allowed. None of those restrictions had been mentioned before they took the advance. Even after changing the conditions and not providing what we'd expected, the hotel refused to refund the money. This was a very disappointing experience, and the communication and treatment felt misleading and unfair. Customers should be told all the rules before paying. We were extremely unhappy with the service and wouldn't recommend this place.

I stayed there for a week and had a really nice time. The staff were kind and helpful, and all spoke English.

The beach is only 200 meters away, and you can enjoy lovely views at both sunrise and sunset. It's a great spot for a relaxing break by the ocean. I recently stayed at The Villa in Lavinia in Colombo and had a fantastic experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and well kept, with a welcoming, cozy feel. The staff provided wonderful service and went out of their way to make the stay comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Colombo. A true 5-star experience!
