We loved the room on both of our stays. It's small, but cute and really comfortable. Our last visit was on 7/09/2018. We met the couple who own the place on the other days, and they were absolute legends, so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. One woman who works there left a real black mark on the place, though. She asked my girlfriend if I was her driver, then seemed disappointed when she found out we were both staying there. We found that funny, but she was also grumpy and very impolite. I'd definitely recommend it when she's not at the property.

It felt secure and peaceful, which gave us peace of mind. The room and washroom were clean, the bed was comfy, and there was both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. Hot water was available in the shower too.

We had a horrible experience. The host was very rude, and the place is far from shops and public transport. When we arrived, the rooms weren't ready and we weren't allowed in through the main door. We were made to wait 20 minutes while they got the rooms ready, and still didn't get what we'd paid for. The bathrooms were as tiny as they could be. It spoiled our Srilankan experience.

They do have a small kitchen, so cooking for yourself is easy enough. Otherwise, you’ll need to walk a little out to the main road for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Fine if you’re just staying the night.

The owner was really sweet and helpful, and the neighborhood was very quiet. The place could use some decent wear and tear, but I had a good experience. I’d recommend it for a day or two.
