I found the atmosphere unpleasant and the service rude. The owner didn’t even turn on the lights for us, which made the stay more uncomfortable. The so-called “family room” was an old house in poor condition. Its double bed was very old, the sheets were worn, and there were no basic items like water bottles, plates, or spoons. When we asked for plates and spoons, we had to go to the owner’s place to request them, then wash them ourselves while he stood watching. The washroom was extremely dirty: food scraps like onion and curry leaves were in the sink, the toilet hadn’t been washed, and the tiles were yellow and stained. I strongly don’t recommend staying here. Even on a budget, please avoid it.

The room was wet and filthy, with stained sheets and a terrible smell. The air conditioning didn't work, and the bathroom was dirty. I checked out right away and booked somewhere else. The photos online were completely misleading. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We were happy with how clean the room was, and the price was very good for the service. The owner was friendly and gave us a lift to the bus station. He cooked a delicious dinner, and breakfast was good too. This was our favorite place during our whole stay in Srí Lanka. The view and atmosphere on the terrace were absolutely amazing, and we were welcomed with a teapot of Srí Lanka tea.

The mountains are so green, and the roads are pristine for scootering. People in the area are brilliant, smiling ear to ear. The owner was friendly and super accommodating. We had drinks and laughs together in the evening, and he cooks the meanest veggie curry platter I've ever had. Amazing. The property is nice and well maintained, perched up on the mountain. The road there is a bit of a construction zone at the moment, but it's fine.
