The hosts at Woodsy Villa were incredibly kind and helpful, and made sure we felt welcome. Our room was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed. It’s a peaceful place surrounded by nature, while still being well located near Sigiriya. We loved the quiet and the surroundings, and would gladly stay at Woodsy Villa again. Definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

We arrived during the cyclone, and the hosts went out of their way to look after us. Even without electricity, they made breakfast by torchlight, gave us candles and battery-powered lights, and let us stay two extra nights. The accommodation was spacious and clean, and the family couldn’t have been kinder. The location is great too, about a 10-15 minute walk to the main food and bar area and the entrance to sigiriya rock.

The garden is beautiful, but the room had serious, foul-smelling mold on the wall, which felt like a real health risk. The host also took us to a so-called 'herbal garden' where the products were overpriced. They made bizarre claims, like saying Buddhist monks use permanent hair removal cream. Avoid this place.

The garden was full of flowers and greenery, making the property a lovely, peaceful place to unwind. Our spotless, well-kept room had everything working properly. The staff were helpful throughout, including with our laundry, and brought us fresh fruit and traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts each morning. They welcomed us with refreshments as soon as we arrived, and their warmth made us feel at home and made the visit special.

I enjoyed being surrounded by nature here. The room was spacious and clean, and the owner was incredibly friendly, which made my stay even nicer.
