The chicken Kottu was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, and the staff and food were fantastic. Our room was amazing and the air conditioning worked great. It was especially good value for this area. Thanks to everyone there for making our trip so special.

We were so pleased to find this place. The rooms were great and had AC, and the food and local recommendations were good too. What really made the stay five-star was how welcoming and hospitable the staff were.

We arrived with a prepaid booking, only to be told there was no reservation or payment. After we insisted and showed proof, they acknowledged the situation but said there was no room for us. We were left with our luggage, in a vulnerable spot, and without proper help or an explanation. The host’s story kept changing. First there was supposedly no booking, then he said he had accepted the cancellation and refund. He never replied to the booking platform to arrange it, though, and ignored its messages. The app is now handling the refund, fortunately, but the host did not cooperate. The way this was handled was unacceptable and unprofessional. We had a very bad experience and don’t recommend this place.

After we showed the confirmed Agoda booking, the man in charge still tried to charge us again for a different room. He was rude, claimed there was no reservation in our name, and denied working with Agoda. Eventually he admitted the booking was there, then told us every room was full. It seemed clear he didn’t want to honor it. He wouldn’t cancel the reservation or refund us, so we had to get Agoda involved ourselves. We felt scammed and left very disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
