We were only at Liyara for one night, over a month ago, but we still keep thinking about it and recommending it to people heading to Sigiriya. Upali and his lovely family welcomed us immediately and made the visit special. They took us on a beautiful drive around the area and kindly offered to drive us to Lion’s rock for sunrise the next morning. We ate dinner and breakfast at the family home, and both were so, so good. We had the best time and wish we could go back. Thank you all!

The family were the best part. They were so sweet and took really good care of us. Getting around was easy, and the breakfast and dinner portions were generous and delicious. The homestay is on the main road but still quiet, and its location is great. The room was very clean, smelled lovely, and had a big, comfortable bed. I just left Sigiriya and already miss this place. I can only recommend it!

The owner drove me out at 5am so I could hike up Pidurangala rock for sunrise. Unreal experience, and I highly recommend it. The room was spotless, with AC and a mosquito net, and I was greeted with lovely fresh juice. Breakfast tasted great and the wifi worked well. Good value accommodation in central Sigiriya.

The host was incredibly helpful and made a delicious breakfast. It's a great spot by the lake, close to different restaurants and very near Sigiriya and sights like lions rock/piduringala rock. Couldn't recommend this place more!

Even though we only spent one night there, everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. The hosts were kind and helpful, and kept us informed. Our room was clean and tidy, with a balcony, and the food was amazing. I recommend Liyara Homestay to anyone visiting Sigiriya. We'll definitely come back.
