The food really added to our stay, and our room was spotless, cosy and comfortable after a long day. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and their friendly dog made the place feel even more homely. The owner took time to explain things and guide us, and the whole family was kind and caring. Getting around Sigiriya from here is easy. We'd gladly come back, highly recommended, A+++.

25/11/2024 - Nethmi Homestay is in a quieter part of Sigiriya, away from the centre, but only about five minutes by tuk-tuk. We stayed for five nights and had the place to ourselves, including a big balcony and garden, since no one else was staying there. The room was nice, clean, and opened straight onto the garden. It rained most days, so we didn't really get to enjoy it. The family looked after us so well, cooked super tasty food, and helped arrange an elephant safari at the national park. Their son also drove us to Kendy by tuk-tuk. It was a lovely time.

The meals on the veranda were a highlight, especially with the jungle sounds around us. Supan's mum is a fantastic cook, the daily breakfasts were varied, and the dinners were among the best we had in Sri Lanka. Supan and his family are gentle, kind, humble, and caring, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. Their home stay has a jungle feel and sits far enough from the road that traffic noise wasn't an issue. Sigiriya is about a gentle 20-minute walk away. We stayed seven nights. Supan also offers different tours and safaris, and we enjoyed visiting a local hotel's pool as day guests.

The family who run the place were friendly, and the meals were simple but delicious. It's very quiet and certainly good value. I only stayed one night while visiting the Lion Rock in Sigiriya, about a half-hour walk away.

Each morning we had an amazing breakfast, and our room was exceptional. The owners were very kind and helpful, always going out of their way to make the service A+. If we return to Sigiriya, we'll stay at Nethmi again. Thanks for the hospitality!
