Oak Ray Elephant Lake Hotel

Our group’s stay at Oak Ray Elephant Lake was smooth and enjoyable, thanks to the courteous, attentive staff who handled all our requirements efficiently. The ambiance, facilities, and service were better than we expected. Special thanks to Ms. Mayanthi Dassanayake and Mr. Mahesh (Manager) for the thoughtful hospitality and attention to detail. Mr. Ashoka Wijesinghe, Sales & Marketing Manager, also gave excellent support during the reservation process. His prompt communication and coordination helped make the group trip well organized and hassle-free. Highly recommended for groups, and we look forward to visiting again.

We were a group of 44 and stayed for two days at Oakray Elephant Lake Hotel in Habarana. The cost didn’t match the service we received. Dinner was unsatisfactory on both nights, and room upkeep was poor. Basic cleanliness wasn’t maintained, and the same bed linen was used for two consecutive days without a change. That was particularly disappointing and unacceptable for the price. We hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves housekeeping and overall service for future guests.

We stayed at Oak Ray Elephant Lake Resort from 19th Jan 2026 to 20th Jan 2026 on half board while heading towards Sigiriya. We stopped at Dambulla Cave Temple and drove past scenic Kandalama Lake, which made the journey more enjoyable. The property was calm and beautiful, a good place to unwind. Our first-floor room looked over the pool and garden. The large, clean pool was great for families, and my kid had a lot of fun there. We also enjoyed a cold beer by the pool. On arrival, a friendly, charming lady welcomed us with a drink and cold towels, a nice touch after the drive. The food was quite nice, though dinner and breakfast could use more variety. Restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive, and did their best to serve everyone. It was a pleasant, relaxing stay, and I’d recommend the resort to families and people visiting Dambulla and Sigiriya.

The food was full of flavor and absolutely delicious, and we really appreciated the warm hospitality and excellent service. Rosy was especially friendly and professional, with outstanding service. The hotel is superb in every aspect. We’ll definitely leave a positive review on Google too. Highly recommended!
