The rooms were lovely, and the accommodation had a nice feel. Staff were very helpful, breakfast was delicious, and they arranged a safari, a cooking class, and a trip to Lion's Rock. Those were all great. Be cautious if they recommend the herbal garden. We felt it was a tourist trap: it was very expensive, and we were pressured to buy pharmaceuticals. It seemed overpriced, so I'd avoid it.

Galaxy View Homestay is very close to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, with scenic views and a quiet setting away from the tourist crowds. We found the rooms clean, comfortable, and equipped with the basic amenities. The well-kept pool was a great place to cool off after sightseeing in the tropical heat. Karu and family were warm and welcoming, and helped with local tips and transport. They also cooked delicious Sri Lankan meals at our request. The garden, peaceful surroundings, and good service make this a clean, affordable option for families or solo travelers. Highly recommend this well-maintained property for a relaxing stay with a pool.

The family's warmth made our three nights at Galaxy a wonderful stay. They helped arrange a safari to Minneriya National Park and a ride for the sunrise hike at Pidurangala Rock. Breakfast had both Sri Lankan and Western food, and everything was delicious. We rented a bike to get into the city, which made sightseeing easier and more fun than taking a tuktuk. We'd recommend this stay to everyone!

We really liked the clean rooms and the pool, and had a wonderful stay at Galaxy View Homestay. The family were lovely and welcoming, always ready to help with what we needed. Breakfast was excellent, and the host drove us to Pidurangala Rock early in the morning to see the sunrise. They also arranged a safari to Minneriya National Park for us. We'd recommend it to everyone!
