We loved the quiet here, even though it’s a bit of a walk from the action of Sigiriya. Roshan and his family were wonderful hosts, and their peaceful tree house was full of bird sounds. Sitting on the balcony while it rained felt magical. We ate there a few times, with lunch and dinner available on request. The meals were cheaper and more delicious than anything in the immediate area. We also went on safari with Roshan and saw lots of elephants. They have a tuktuk too and will take you wherever you need. A 10/10 wonderful stay, and I’d recommend it with my whole heart.

On my 14 day solo tour around Sri Lanka, I had a wonderful stay at Aliya Tree House in Sigiriya. The place had a distinctive, relaxing atmosphere amid nature, making it a memorable stop. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the hospitality was excellent. It was a lovely spot to unwind and enjoy Sigiriya’s beauty. Highly recommended for travelers wanting a peaceful, different experience.

The food was amazing, and the treehouse stay was unforgettable. The whole place is surrounded by nature, so peaceful, beautiful, and special. We couldn’t have hoped for a better host. He was so kind, caring, warm, and genuine, always doing what he could to make guests happy. His whole family made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Highly recommended! 🌴💛

We especially loved the quiet setting, close to Lion Rock and other beautiful viewpoints but away from city noise. The family welcomed us so warmly, and their local food was the best. If they offer to cook for you, say yes. They’re also happy to answer questions and can take you on safari with them or drive you wherever you need to go. We had a great time at the Tree house and definitely recommend staying more than one night to get a feel for Sri Lankan life. Thanks for everything!

Birdwatching right from the comfortable treehouse was a real treat, and the garden and views are beautiful. The breakfast was very good, too. Everything was clean and well cared for, and the staff were lovely and helpful. A truly wonderful place to stay.
