We loved the peaceful grounds at KALUM HOME, tucked between forest and rice fields. At night we could hear the animals and watch fireflies in the bushes, which felt wonderfully romantic. Our hosts welcomed us warmly into their elegant home, where our spacious double room and large bathroom were very clean and comfortable. We also had Wi-Fi. The food was a highlight: both the Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners were delicious, generous, and varied. Our host was friendly and helpful, even picking us up in the evenings so we wouldn't risk encountering elephants. We also had fascinating conversations with him about Sri Lankan history and nature. It's about a 20-minute walk to the entrances for Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala. The morning and evening climbs can be crowded, especially around sunrise and sunset, so leave plenty of time. We'd happily stay at KALUM HOME again in Sigiriya, and wish you a pleasant stay.

The stay was relaxing and educational, and I could easily give Kalum s homestay a 15 if the scale allowed it. Kalum knows a lot about herbal plants and gave us great advice on local attractions and their history. Our room was very large and clean. We had excellent typical Sri Lankan food for both dinner and breakfast. He even drove us to our night Safari to see Loris, then patiently waited until our tour was over. Just amazing. We highly recommend this beautiful homestay.

Mr Kalum and his family made us feel so welcome, with kindness and friendliness that went above and beyond. The place was spotless, spacious, and well looked after, and it felt cozy and relaxing, like a home away from home. I had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it if you're after a comfortable place with warm hospitality.

Pidurangala Rock is within walking distance. In the morning, the owner can take you by auto rickshaw to the hiking entrance. You can also request a home-cooked meal, and it was delicious.

Kalum Home Stay made our time in Sigiriya a real delight. The owner, Kalum, was so caring and welcoming, shared helpful tips about local attractions, and cooked delicious meals for us. We loved the clean, cozy, well-equipped rooms and the lovely views of Sigiriya Rock. A great place for an authentic, memorable stay in Sigiriya.
