The hosts were very nice, and breakfast was simple but fine for the price: toast with some onion filling, coffee or tea, and bananas. The garden was lovely, with a table, chairs, and a clothes rack, and we really enjoyed spending time there. The street is quiet and the beach is about a 5 minute walk, maybe even less. We booked the simple apartments through booking. They were clean and had mosquito nets, warm water, a large double bed, and a smaller, short bed in the next room. I’d stay again, especially to unwind in the garden :)

The family were friendly, but it wasn’t possible to have a conversation because nobody spoke English. The breakfast tasted good, though it was much smaller than at other homestays I’ve stayed in, and it felt like they weren’t prepared for backpackers. There was no hot water, and there was a nasty dog. The area itself was really quiet, with nice restaurants nearby and a beautiful long beach just 5 minutes away. I stayed 5 days, but wouldn’t return.
