Peak House

We loved seeing all the monkeys around the property. Peak House is just a few minutes from the beach but still quiet and relaxed. The room was bright, clean and comfortable, just what we wanted. The shared kitchen and fridge were practical and easy to use with guests from the other rooms. Having laundry done right at the accommodation was a big convenience too. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, always available to make sure we were comfortable. A very pleasant stay, and we’d happily return!

The surroundings were quiet, and the room had good AC and a ceiling fan. We stayed in the new building at the back, where the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, with large, clean bathrooms. Peak House is about a 10-minute walk from Hiriketiya’s main beach and restaurants. There are also about 4-5 good restaurants nearby.

A lovely, very clean place in a great area that was easy to get around. We hired a scooter for a day and got to explore even more. Thanks for having us, I’d highly recommend staying here.

We stayed one night. The room was clean and tidy, but the bed took up almost the whole room, leaving barely any space to move around. The bathroom, on the other hand, was spacious and clean, with basic amenities. There was also a convenient shared pantry where we could make tea and get water. Before we arrived, they explained the payment options: cash or card, with a 3% convenience fee for card. I didn’t have enough cash, so I paid by card. For your information, the CBSL (Central Bank of Sri Lanka) explicitly prohibits merchants from adding a 3% surcharge to card transactions and has made it illegal.
