The food was one of the highlights for us. Chef Dilan and the kitchen team made personalized dishes every day, and we enjoyed it so much that we took two cooking classes. Their Christmas and New Year's Eve gala menus were breathtaking. Sachi's service team seemed to anticipate everything we needed, with real professionalism and kindness. The Ayurvedic doctor, the Spa team, and Sylvia, the wonderfully cool Yoga teacher, helped get our bodies and minds back on track. We spent two incredible weeks at UTMT over Christmas and New Year's Eve. We arrived in Sri Lanka drained by a stressful year at work, and after the Panchakarma treatment we left feeling transformed, at a 10/10 level of happiness and health. We felt welcome, pampered, and personally cared for throughout. The luxurious, comfortable setting, with its infinity pool and private beach, made it feel like there was nothing more we could wish for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We'll come back as soon as we can.

The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely throughout our stay. The setting is also beautiful and peaceful, just right for a relaxing break. The food let us down, though, and the kids menu was very limited, with only chips and ketchup. Mosquitoes in the stylish open-air bathrooms also made things less comfortable. A lovely place with great service, but a few important areas need work.

I paid a lot, checked out the same night I arrived, and never got a refund. The place is beautiful, with greenery, trees, pools, and a beach, but the open windows and bathrooms left the rooms feeling insecure. At night it was pretty scary, and you can't swim in the ocean. There were big spiders, lizards, centipedes, and other insects in the room and pool, so you need to be okay with that kind of nature setting. It also doesn't feel like a five-star hotel: there was no fridge, telephone, or TV, and the facilities weren't ready. It's a beautiful nature-style place, but I wouldn't recommend it to people looking for five-star service or hotel facilities.

I tried meditation for the first time here and liked it enough to go back every day of my stay. The instructor was really nice. The scenery is lovely too, and the whole place has a relaxing feel.

We were sorry to leave after only two nights. There was plenty to do, from yoga, meditation, painting, and pottery to the beach, pool, and movies. The views are stunning, the hotel is beautiful, the staff were attentive, and the food was delicious.
