If you need comfort, this isn’t the place, but for a budget room in Ella it may work, even though a single bed costs more than rs.2000. The rooms are average at best, with broken bathroom parts, and the hot water often didn’t work. There are no heaters, parking, or wheelchair access. It’s on a steep hill, so it suits budget travellers more than anyone looking for comfort.

The beds were super cozy, with spring mattresses and mosquito nets for a good night’s sleep. At night the place is lovely, up high with cozy chairs where you can relax and count the stars. There are rooms for couples as well as groups of 4-6, and I thought it was worth the money, though I was told there are other places you could find for the same amount. You do have to climb stairs to get there, so it’s better to look elsewhere if you’re traveling with older people who can’t manage them.

The night view over Ella is wonderful, and for the price I thought the stay was more than worth it. It’s right in town and close to the Ella Rock trail. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had the basics like Wi-Fi and hot water. Breakfast is offered too. A really good, affordable place to stay with family or friends.

Getting to the hotel means climbing stairs, and doing that in the high fog made for an interesting arrival. The room was spacious, with hot water and Wi-Fi. My only issue was the linens, which seemed either quite old or not very clean.
