Daban Homestay was just right for us, up in the hills just outside busy Ella, where it felt quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed breakfast at V Kitchen, and the host was helpful and around whenever we needed anything. A fantastic stay.
Breakfast brought to the room made the stay feel even more special, and the people were lovely and friendly. The views from the room are really stunning. I'd come back if I visit Ella again.
We had a peaceful two-night stay at Daban, a nice distance from town. The room was comfortable, and the view from the balcony was incredible. We'd stay again!

The neighbourhood was much nicer and quieter than the loud city, and it was a great place to stay for a few nights of hiking and seeing waterfalls. There are lovely views, a nice room with a balcony, and a fantastic Sri Lankan breakfast. You can rent a scooter at a good price. The city centre is a 40-minute walk or a tuk tuk ride away. The only problem was that something broke, leaving us without hot water on our last night. Apart from that, we really recommend it. A great spot at a reasonable price.
