The hotel eventually cancelled our booking, leaving us without a room. We had to leave the property because, according to what the hotel told the platform's agents, there were no rooms available. Before we went, though, they offered us a room that was actually available. I found that disrespectful and unprofessional. I'd booked and paid in advance for February 23 to 25, 2026. When we arrived, the owners said they had no record of the reservation. I contacted the booking platform, and they confirmed that the hotel had correctly registered our check-in.

We had a really good breakfast, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The location worked perfectly for us, with everything close by and town about a 10-15 minute walk along the tracks. If you're after somewhere quiet to stay, I'd highly recommend it.

We had to leave at 5:00 AM, and our host kindly got up to pack breakfast for us to take along. Dimuth’s homestay is charming, with excellent food and service and wonderful scenery, including a waterfall and trains coming down from the mountains. It's about a 5-minute drive from Ella city, or a 10-minute walk along the railway track.

We showed up for our 2-day booking to find the place closed. They'd started a month of renovations and hadn't told us, so naturally there was no room for us. We had to find another hotel that evening, which was really stressful at night.

The room on the first floor was basic, but it had everything we needed, even an iron and hairdryer. Dimuthu made us a great breakfast and drove us to the train station for free. We also booked a day tour through the owner and had a great time, so there was no need to look elsewhere. This place has the best view in Ella, and I'd highly recommend staying here.
