Eco Salient View

The room was spacious and tucked away, with breathtaking views, and breakfast was different each morning. The girl and her family are wonderful people. We paid much less for the room than at the other places we looked at.

Breakfast on the terrace with the mountain view was a highlight, and it was peaceful at the accommodation. The host family were happy to answer questions about the area. I’d recommend staying here. The only downside was the roughly ten-minute walk to the city centre. Also, check out the restaurant close by. I had the best local food there :)

The room was small and had no view, though there was enough space for two. Hot water was slow and weak, there was no Wi-Fi or electric kettle, and the food wasn’t great. Getting there from Ella station is about a 30-minute hike. It was calm the first day, but on the second night some drunk people were singing outside and tried to open our door around midnight, so we had to call the owner. The rate included breakfast, but at departure the owner and his family tried to charge us extra for tea. If you’re fine with a cheap place at a low price, it may do. I wouldn’t recommend it at all to a decent family or couple.

My husband and I stayed for two days, but we didn’t think the place was worth the price. There was no Wi-Fi, TV or hot water kettle, and the water ran very slowly. They served pork and said it was chicken. One night, locals were drinking and singing until midnight, and they tried to open our door twice. The owner’s wife and daughter also tried to overcharge us for tea, including plain tea. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, especially foreigners or decent locals.
