The owner is super kind, and the house and location are stunning. He also cooks amazing dinner. It's a great spot if you want to get away from busy, touristy Ella, and it's a prime base for climbing Ella Rock. The walk along the train tracks to town is lovely and takes about 40 minutes. Forget about pickme there.

The hostel is really chill and the staff are attentive. It's a beautiful, peaceful walk into Ella town along the track, about 40 minutes, and it felt very safe. I'd definitely recommend it.

The only drawback is the location: walking along the train tracks takes 30-40 minutes. Otherwise, it's a lovely place with a beautiful view, a welcoming and helpful staff, and a nice private room with its own bathroom. Breakfast was good, though eggs or juice cost extra.

I loved waking up to birds and rain on the roof. One morning I saw a peacock in the garden while doing yoga by the pool, which was really special. It's a beautiful, peaceful getaway, right opposite the Ella rock trailhead, and about a 30-minute walk into town. Breakfast was toast and jam, with an omelette available for an extra 150. The staff were always friendly and helpful. I was the only guest one night, so it wasn't very social and could feel isolating if you're looking for that kind of atmosphere.
