Isuru Homestay

The walk home was a highlight for me, peaceful and surrounded by lush greenery and the sounds of nature. The homestay feels like a hidden paradise, though it’s just 15 minutes from the city centre and 400 meters from the famous Nine Arches Bridge. On my second morning, I was lucky to spot a beautiful bird right outside my balcony. Little moments like that made me appreciate Ella’s calm and charm even more. 💚

Isuru Homestay was in a great spot for us, away from the city’s main bustle. The room was clean and comfortable, the hot shower was amazing, and water was provided throughout our stay. Our hosts were really friendly and accommodating, and they arranged a taxi for us at a great price. We couldn’t have asked for more, thank you!

The view was decent, and the location is handy, about a five-minute walk from the main road and the entrance to the 9 arches bridge road. Service was very good. The rooms are small but comfortable, with good bedding, comfortable mattresses, and mosquito nets. Hot water, tea, and coffee are provided in the room; there’s also a washing machine, fridge, and first aid kit in the common area. The one drawback is that there’s no car parking if you drive up.

The bedroom had a great view, and the bed was really comfortable. They also provided complimentary tea and coffee, a nice little touch. Restaurants are nearby, and Nine Arches Bridge and Little Adam’s Peak are right on the doorstep. It’s a peaceful spot in the forest and hills, away from Ella town, though getting there with heavy bags was a bit of a slog. Our only complaints were the cold showers and the almost nonexistent wi-fi. With Ella already cool, especially at night, not having hot water wasn’t ideal.
