Little Heaven Homestay

We paid only 5000 rp, so maybe we shouldn’t have expected much from the place. The location is really good and the landlord was nice to us. Still, our one night in the room with two double beds was awful. At first the room seemed to smell fine, but the shower water smelled bad and so did the sheets. We were also missing a blanket.

The owner was easy to talk to and trustworthy. Rooms and washrooms were very clean and comfortable. Parking is the one drawback, it’s quite tight. I’d happily stay here again.

There’s a fridge and a washing machine, plus a shared kitchen upstairs with what you need to make tea or cook. The bathrooms were clean, though hot water was unreliable and usually didn’t come. The place is very close to Ella town and within walking distance of Nine arch bridge. There are three upstairs rooms. We stayed for two days, but after the first night they moved us into a smaller room for no reason. A room for one night was 4000 LKR, room only.

It’s a basic little place, but really clean. The Sri Lankan breakfast was fantastic, and when we had to leave early for a train, they packed sandwiches and a drink for us without any fuss. It’s very close to Ella’s centre, and Little Adam's peak and 9 arch bridge aren’t far away. Highly recommend it.
