The room and bathroom looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned in months. There were insects on the sheets, animal feces in the bathroom, spider webs, and mold. I contacted the owner through booking.com but got no reply, and the booking was canceled afterward. We left one night early. It’s a shame, because the lady was very nice, the view was great, and the beds were comfortable. The place has potential, and if it were properly cleaned and better cared for, it would be great.

The scenery is just perfect, and the garden around the place is beautiful. Our room and balcony looked like something from a movie. The room itself is a bit old, but the lady who runs the place is warm and helpful. It’s a lovely, inexpensive place.

The owner was very helpful and friendly, and the service was good. The washrooms were relatively clean and had hot water. There’s a good view from upstairs, where the two double rooms are; the family room is downstairs in this two-story building. It’s a quiet place on a small hill, about 5 minutes from Ella town. There are mosquitoes at night, so be prepared, and the locks aren’t very strong. You also can’t make noise, as the owner doesn’t like it.

The beds were comfortable and the showers had hot water. From the guesthouse it’s only about a hundred metres to the town centre, and it was great value for money. The hosts were a lovely family, with beautiful views, gardens and plenty of birdlife. I’d come back.
