The room felt a bit damp, but after a week of rain in the mountains, that seemed understandable. Conditions are humble, though everything is offered with so much love. Madu picked me up from ella center and showed me the beautiful monastery in the mountains. His mother is a wonderful cook: the breakfast rice noodles and dinner vegetable curry were both tasty. This hard-working family made me feel very welcome. 🙏✨️

We stayed in the small three-bed cottage, a peaceful break from busy Ella. Madu and his mother gave us fantastic service, and breakfast was great, with monkeys and peacocks to watch. Thanks, Madu, for taking us to the station for our morning train.

I had a great time at Willow Courage! The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the peaceful surroundings made it a cozy place to relax. The food was delicious and full of flavor. I really enjoyed my stay, and it went beyond what I expected. Highly recommend it for a comfortable, quality experience! 💯🙌

The cottage was clean, charming, and surrounded by lush nature. I found the calm I’d been looking for, and breakfast was made with love. Madu and his mother welcomed me so warmly during my two nights there and looked after me throughout my time in Sri Lanka. At about 4:30 in the morning, Madu drove me to the monastery so I could meditate with the monks. The next day, I decided at 11:05 AM to catch a train to Kandy. He rushed me there by tuk-tuk and helped me get tickets, and I made the 11:12 train. Once I arrived in Kandy, he put me in touch with a friend who gave me good recommendations for the city. Madu is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. If everyone were like him, the world would be better. Thank you so much! I truly recommend this place.

Madu and his mum are so kind and really go out of their way to make you happy. He has great tips and the cheapest tuk-tuk in town. The place is calm and clean, with lovely views, a cozy terrace, and tasty breakfasts with plenty of variety. There’s a dinner option too, and the price-quality ratio is very good. Fully recommend it.
