Abha Villa

We had a peaceful stay, with no disturbance from the neighborhood or guests in the other villas. The property has three separate villas, and ours was a spacious three-story building. Its three bedrooms had balconies, and there were two bathrooms inside plus another outside. It also had two living rooms and a kitchen stocked with what we needed to cook. One of the villas has a small attached pool. The owners or caretakers were very friendly and helpful. Though it's a little far from Galle town, we felt it was worth the money and would recommend staying here.

The pool was clean and nice, and the food was good too. Friendly, helpful staff made the stay great.

The outdoor setting is lovely, with lots of flowers and trees and plenty of parking, though the road in is a bit narrow. The air conditioning worked well in all three rooms. Inside, the ground floor has a kitchen with a fridge and a living room, with the bedrooms upstairs. The floors were clean, but there were cobwebs on the walls and the room lighting felt dull. Two rooms had double beds and decent bathrooms. The other had a single bed and a bathroom without a proper shower, though there was hot water. When it rained, the passage to the rooms got wet and very slippery. There's also a water tank they call a swimming pool, but it doesn't really meet the requirements for a pool. Overall, the villa is okay.

The location and the people made this feel like Sri Lanka at its best. It's an absolutely beautiful place, and there's also an option to book a place with its own pool. Give it a try, I can't think of a single downside.
