Aragorn Villa

We paid about 7500 LKR for two nights, but got no refund when we left a day early. The pictures made this place look quite different. It's really a family home with only two guest rooms, and the location feels like the middle of nowhere. We arrived late in the evening and found there was no dinner service, with no nearby restaurants to order from, so we had to go about 10 km into Galle to find food. In the morning there was no geyser or hot water, and we found a lizard in the toilet. The garden was poorly kept and the corridor outside the room was full of flies. The tea was good, I'll give them that, but they wouldn't provide the breakfast included in our paid booking. The service was poor, and the washroom and bedsheets weren't clean. If you're coming with more than four people, or want clean bedding and washrooms and hot food, this place won't work for you. We packed up and went out looking for another hotel.

A few upgrades might be needed, but for the price I thought it was worth it. The place was extremely clean, and I really enjoyed staying there. It's run by a couple, and I appreciate the effort they put in. I'd visit again.

Good value for a reasonable price. The service and facilities were good, and the staff understood what customers needed. I recommend it, and thank you.
