The large lobby was a lovely place to unwind, with its welcoming feel and collection of books. The property felt like a home away from home, and the beauty and atmosphere of the place caught my attention as soon as I walked in. Every corner had a timeless charm. My room was comfortable and sophisticated, with plush bedding, unique decor, and carefully chosen furnishings. It was impeccably maintained and felt more luxurious than I expected. The caretakers, whose names I regret not getting, were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, going out of their way to meet my needs. The owner was friendly and professional too, knew the area well, and was a great source of recommendations and help. Their care made the stay memorable. I stayed at Fortaleza Middle Street last month, and it was an experience beyond compare. The property is near Galle Fort and is a wonderful choice for a visit to Galle, whether you want a romantic getaway, a peaceful retreat, or a chance to take in the area's history and culture. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Its beauty and hospitality left me with cherished memories.

The staff are very, very friendly, and each of their 4 properties is awesome in its own way. What a lovely place. I’d like to stay at the same one on my next visit.

The hotel has some charm, but I found the room cramped, dark, and claustrophobic. I also couldn't understand why breakfast couldn't be served at both sites, so we wouldn't have to walk down the street.

A great place for a holiday in historic Galle Fort.
