Lali Villa

We had a great stay. The garden and pool were lovely places to unwind, and our room was clean and well kept. Our host was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended 💯

The place was clean and pleasant, with friendly staff. The neighborhood looks a little congested, but we could play music fairly loudly through the night. It would work well for a private party of 6-8 people. Breakfast could use some improvement, so I’d suggest ordering from one of the many nearby places instead.

We came here to unwind after a hectic work week, and the relaxed atmosphere really suited that. The villa feels like a home when you walk in, with lots of space and a mix of traditional and colonial furniture. It’s kept in good condition and is easy to find, just over a kilometer from Galle town. The area is quiet apart from the occasional loud tuk-tuk passing by. It has three air-conditioned double rooms, a roomy kitchen with essential crockery and cutlery, a refrigerator, plenty of seating, hot and cold showers, a pool, and parking for two vehicles. The place is intended for six guests, and the owners prefer not to host more than that. They manage 10+ properties along the southern coast. Sampath, the caretaker, was the best part of the stay. He was friendly and helpful with anything we needed, including arranging food and grocery deliveries, cooking, and transport from the villa at checkout. It’s a place worth staying, however long your visit. It’s sought-after during the down-south season, November-May, so book early.

I loved this marvelous place in Galle, and the food was 👌. The pool is lovely, the service is great, and I’d love to visit again. Great job!
