It’s an old place but clean, and our host was very welcoming. We were given keys for the entrance and the common room, so we could use it whenever we liked, even late at night. There’s a refrigerator, electric kettle, hot and cold water, and microwave in the common room. Breakfast costs an additional 1500 per person, and it was a decent mix of English and Sri Lankan food.

The house has a colonial feel and looks really aesthetic, and the rooms are cozy and nice. Its location inside Galle Fort is amazing, with all the attractions within walking distance, making it easy to wander around the Fort. The only downside was a foul smell, though that may be common throughout Galle Fort.

A friend recommended this Guest House, where I stayed inside Galle Fort. It’s handy for restaurants, pubs, shops, and the beach next to the Fort, all within walking distance. My room was clean and air-conditioned, with a spacious layout and a table and chair that are useful if you work. Towels, water bottles, and linen were provided. You can book bed and breakfast or room only. The staff and management were very helpful. I recommend it to locals and foreigners looking for a holiday in Galle.

The room was decent and could fit three people. The bathroom was clean, the beds comfortable, and the fan worked fine. I like things cold, though, and the air conditioning didn’t quite do it for me since the room got a little warm from time to time. We booked through agoda for $40 including tax, for a one-night stay with a friend in Galle. It’s part of a house on the second floor, with its own entrance. Check-in was at noon, and we arrived five minutes early. It was smooth and hassle-free. We barely interacted with management during the stay, but they were very nice at check-in and kept us updated about the rooms, which felt like great customer service. A solid 8/10, and I’ll definitely return.

The owner was very helpful and easy to reach on whatsapp, and took good care of us. Our room was nice, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was very good. We had a lovely stay in the centrally located Galle Fort, close to the ramparts. Highly recommend! Maarten and Karin
