The people here were really great, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the local breakfast was amazing. The location is superb, close to everything in this beautiful part of the country. As a place to stay, it’s fairly average. The rooms are on the small side, which was a squeeze with two huge backpacks. You can hear the neighbors, but the city noise is well blocked out. Wifi doesn’t reach the rooms.

The staff made us feel welcome and looked after, and the rooms are lovely, with beautiful decor and attention to detail. We had a wonderful stay right in the heart of Galle Fort. The Sri Lankan breakfast each morning was delicious and well worth trying. Everything was great. A small fridge in the room would make it even better, so we could have a cold drink in the evening on the lovely private terrace.

The receptionist was the best I’ve ever met, and all the staff were charming. I travel three times a year and have been to more than 40 countries, so that really stood out. Great location, a nice room, and a lovely atmosphere.

We stayed three nights at Parawa house in late September, before the season had started, and really enjoyed it. Our room had a private balcony facing a quiet street, and it was just amazing. The included Sri Lankan-style breakfast was filling, though it came as a set menu and we couldn’t choose what to eat. On our last morning we asked for toast and eggs instead, and got them. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the location was good. The main thing to fix is the room door, which had gaps, and the lock could use a closer look. It would also be good to have a safety deposit box in every room. Still, it was a very nice stay.

The room was spacious and pretty, with a large terrace, and the staff were very nice. The hotel is in a quiet area right in the center of Galle, and the breakfast was delicious. A very nice place, 100% recommended.
