Seagreen Guesthouse

This was easily one of the worst Kottu meals we’ve had. There was a hair on the plate. I tried to ignore it, but soon after eating, my girlfriend and I both had severe food poisoning. It was the only meal we shared that day, so we felt sure that was the cause. The food was low quality, the place was unhygienic, and the prices were too high. Avoid this restaurant.

The room was large and comfortable, and you’re right inside the fort, within walking distance of the lighthouse. It worked for a short stay, but the furniture looks old and the rooms could use renovation. Our AC started leaking in the middle of the night. There was no hotel staff after 11pm, and the owner was the only one around but couldn’t fix it.

I haven’t stayed here yet, but found the upstairs rooftop terrace to be a lovely, breezy place from early evening on. The Virgin Mojito is fantastic, and the Seagreen passion fruit Mocktail is SUBLIME ❤️, beautifully presented by the young barman Malka 👌. Downstairs, Sayuri, the young receptionist, is lovely, friendly, efficient, and excellent ☀️✨💫

The views are good and the location is great. My stay was let down by the AC leaking and nobody available to deal with it, so the service could’ve been better. Drinking water costs ₹200 per refill, which feels unfair given what we pay for the room.
