The breakfast was one of the best parts of my stay, freshly made each morning with real care. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and at home at Three Shades Homestay in Galle from the moment I arrived. It has a warm, personal, peaceful feel, just what I wanted when traveling alone. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home.

The owners were incredibly generous and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They felt like our Sri Lankan mum and dad. My partner and I stayed for two nights, and two gorgeous, happy dogs greeted us. Our room was spacious, with air con and a comfortable bed. It's a relaxing place to stay in Galle, and very affordable.

The family who run this place are warm and welcoming, and they were incredibly helpful. It's clean and spacious, and the breakfast was amazing. Great value too, especially if the more upmarket hotels are out of budget but a hostel isn't what you're after. If I ever had a B&B, I'd want it to be like this. I recommend staying here.
